"Six years ago we drove to Alaska from our home in Ohio (not too far from Lisbon where Larry used to have some property I believe.) We camped everyday in our little popup truck camper. It was a trip of a lifetime! We watch "North to Alaska" every week and dream of the day when we can return. We are getting many great ideas for that next trip. Love the show!"

"We have watched North to Alaska since it's beggining and I'm sure we have watched every episode, sonmetimes 2 or 3 times. North to Alaska is by far and away our favorite outdoor show, keep up the great work. I was stationed in Galena while in the USAF so Alaska has always been a special place for me and hope someday to return. In a way you make that happen."

"Years ago you I asked you to signs a baseball for me during at fan day at your practice field in Miami. The ball had been signed by Yogi Berra and you looked at me like I was crazy and asked, "are you sure you want me to sign this?" I said yes and you signed the ball. I still have that ball. I love the show and visited Alaska because of the show. I then bought property up there because I fell in love during my visit. Thanks for signing the ball and introducing me to Alaska."

"Around 1974, you and your team stayed at The Warwick Hotel in Houston, TX. I met you briefly, but you were very nice and I was a little smitten. I handled the Monday Night Football/NCB Sports account. I was a sales manager for the hotel. Anyway...I followed your career a little (not to be confused with a stalker!) and today, my husband and I am watching the Texans play Atlanta and you came to mind, so I googled and found you are now in Alaska. What a life you have and I love that you give back to society in such a big way. Wishing you and Audrey all the best. Marilyn Johnson-Luedtke"

"Conka, Kick and Warfield come to Portland in the WFL. I and Mouse Davis son Brad would sneek on the field so we could be behind the bench. We were standing right behind Larry before security caught us. Always a fan and I went on to play as a college fullback and went on to teach & coach. Best Wishes and I love your show. I have one spot open for an African hunt. We will be leaving Portland on or about June 17th 2012. There will be a total of 4 hunter in two parties with lots of experience. The destination is Winhoek Namibia. 60,000 acres of private land with cooperative farms as well. Larry? Any takers? Potential for 10 head of game a week. That would be about 5 great shows. Larry hunts Africa. June is the winter so temperatures are in the 60 to 70's. Perfect weather with animal looking their best at this time of the year. Contact me at kevin-schmidt@comcast.net if you are interested."

"Dear Larry & Audrey, This is a thank-you Letter. Last year, in September, I watched your show to the Anvik Lodge and signed-up for, what I regarded would be, a “fishing trip of a lifetime”. It was! What an adventure. It was everything you said it would be. My “bucket list” list has decreased by one. You are doing an immeasurable service to the lower 48’ers, to the Alaskans, to the vendors of adventure like Cheryl and Cliff; and of course to Smokey Joe. I just wanted to send both of you a very big, heartfelt, THANKYOU and WELL DONE! Please try to keep up the good work. You show me what real living can be like…you know…the American Dream. Take good care "

"How do you do Larry, I was born in FT. Lauderdale FL. in 1960. I was at several games with my dad from 1970- 1975. Man i just loved watching you moe people down or carry 3 or 4 down the field. I made it a point to watch your show every weekend, But now i don't have that option any more. I do get to hunt down here in the Big cypress [the jet port area]. I do get some ok deer and I have seen some good deer. But I can't get that good shot to drop him. I did get to hunt in Georgia for two years and did manage to take two 8 points and a whooper 10 point what a thrill. For the last 10 years I've had an itch to go bear hunting, but I don't have a lot of money thanks to the economy crunch. What are some things I need to do to ensure a dencent hunt. And is my rifle doable. It is a Remmington 300 win mag. With a bushnel 3x9 scope."

"My wife and I really enjoyed the Elfin Cove shows, especially the whales! She would love to see that. I am diehard saltwater salmon fisherman. Just got back from a couple days in my 22 C-Dory at Westport, WA. Really good fishing, some of the best around. Love the travel and cultural segments as much as the fishing. Keep up the Great Work! Looking forward to your new season."

"I have to work every Sunday when your show is on but my wife makes sure she records it for me and then we watch it together. I love to fish and enjoy watching you every week. I also love the hunts. My wife enjoys Smoky Joe's segment the best as she is a cook her self and loves the recipes. I would love to be able to come up there and go fishing or hunting with you."

"I was really able to relate to the show today 6-19-2011. My 30 year old Son and I fished with Jim McCormick about 2 weeks after you were fishing with him. It was 6-22-2010, we got lucky and they opened King season for bait on the kenai 6-19-10. Jim is a great guide and I hope to fish with him again. The first day with Jim we caught 20 Rainbows from 18" to 27", 2 small Dollies, and 5 King Salmon! My profile picture I used for your website is a picture of the 35 lb. King I kept that day with McCormick standing next to me. But that was just a warm up for day 2 with Jim. The second day I caught and released a monster Jim estimate at 67 lbs. it was 49" long and 32" around! It was in the slot limit so my Son got a great video of the fight and some pictures of it in the net while Jim measured it and then we quickly released it and watched as the giant swam away! I was in shock what a fish. We went on to catch more Kings and Rainbows all day. That was only my second time in Alaska. But because we always hire a guide that we research heavily we have been very successful. I reccommend to anyone spending the hard earned money to get to Alaska, hire the local Guides it's worth every penny!!! Usually they are happy to teach you what they know. One last thing larry my Son and I love your show and have watched it for years. You have helped us plan both our trips from all the information on the show. Thank You"

"Dear Larry, Funny how things work out. I am the communications major and you wind up with an outstanding TV show. Your show is great and very well though out. It gives so much more than just the hunting and fishing. And , unlike other shows I don't have to here the words " he's a ten pointer but he's not a shooter. You have no idea how that much that irritates us blue collar bowhunters. I won't comment on your football days as the moment the rest of us players saw you that first practice as freshmen, we all new you were headed to next level and knew from the begining you would be a star. Anyway I love your show and the only problem I can see is that there are nowhere near enough close ups of your better half. Looking foward to "Noth to Alaska" Doc Bullard"

"Larry, your show is great and I enjoy watching how it is in the "last" real outdoors in the US (Alaska). I met you many years ago and I still remember it. You took time to come to Viet Nam and have a meal with some poor old marine grunts. You have no idea that memory is still with me, and I am sure those who also had the chance to set down and break bread with you. "I enjoy your show! Even though I've been there 6 times (4 times on Kodiak, once to Kenai & once to Prince of Whales Island) Alaska gives you a feeling that you really cannot describe and I think your show gives the best perspective of that feeling. Thanks for a great show....I can't wait to go back!"

"I had not watched North to Alaska in some time, but just finished the Kodiak Bear Hunt show today. Show has a new look (at least new to me compared to what I remember of the old format), and it is great. I'm now a dedicated viewer, again. Looking forward to trips up north. Thanks for keeping it real, and ineresting, and informative."

"I hit the wrong key on my comments and I lost them. Now I'll have two letters to you.I wrote in my first letter about recording you on one T.V. while I watch you on a second just in case I have to run somewhere and miss a few seconds. If I don't miss anything ....I still save them. You two and SmokeeJo are the greatest what a perfect show for us outdoorsmen. Even if we don't get out like we used to you make us feel like we do. Larry, the way you ended your Bear Hunt today was so classy. What a great examlpe for our friends the Anti Hunters to see. Not many hunters would have let "that liitltle guy" go like you did even on Kodiak.Just another classy move. I love all of ya.Please don't ever quit ! We need our outdoor " fix" each week! We have all kinds of Dolphin memorabilia. My husband is a retired QME and I am a retired nurse. We hope to come to Alaska soon to see your lodge or show."

"Larry, Audery & Smokey Joe : you have my favorite sports show on TV. I like it even better then Nascar racing. I wish it was on a half hour earlier so I didn't mis half of it due to having to leave to get to church on time ( I sing in The Choir) The worst psrt of things was that while I was in thew hospital the full month of July i would turn on Versus to catch your show and all i would get was that blasted Bike race. I watch other hunting and fishing shows but you guys have the most fun and we still learn something with out going to school like some of them. Thanks for the shows you do. Martin from Hopuston,Tx"

"Hello folks, because you guys are partly responsible for our current endever I thought it a good idea to let you know how and what we are doing. It all started with a little tv show called North to Alaska. As you may know the economy in Mi. is really bad.Detroit is literally bulldozing itself down. And as reidence of northern lower Mi.We (my wife and to teenage children)decided to up and pull stakes for Alaska. We are currently in Petersburg but will leave for Anchorage this week.We look like a floating, rolling Ford commercial with an over the cab camper and a 28' enclosed trailer on an 05 ford F 350 reg cab 6.0 dsl My wife is a school teacher and I am lots of things and am hopping Stupid does not end up topping the list.So far this is an amazing place and we cant wait to get dugg in in Anchorage.Along with the internet your show has been a great motivator for us.So far we are not sorry we left Mi.We will be back to visit but really mean to make this are new stomping grounds. Thanks for the push in the right direction. Respectfully Stephen T.Lovelace"

"We enjoy your show very much and watch every Sun. However, I must share with you that I will never "Fish with Hill" in Seward ever again. His pompus attitide does not set well with most Alaskan residents and especially with me. I recommend you try Tim Berg vs Hill. You will be pleased. We look forward to your next season. Keep up the great work and good luck on your Spring Bear hunt. Don"

"What about those 72 Dolphins? I was 7 years old and turned into a true "dolphin" blue fan of CSONK! My Dad could not stand the Dolphins because I loved Csonka and the Dolphins so much! At 45 I still love to watch the Dolphins although they have never (nor has anyone else) or will anyone ever touch the old 1972 Miami Dolphins!!! Perfectville USA Population 1 The 72 Dolphins Larry, I've never gotten to personally meet you but I read about you and keep up with you to some degree and just want to say THANK YOU for all that you do for so many....what you do does not go unnoticed by so many and it certainly does not go unnoticed from the only one who counts anyway - JESUS! Thanks again for all that you do and for those memories of carrying those men on your back into the endzone!"

"Larry first let me say i loved watching you play football with the Dolfins, and your show is great, but what i am writing about is my granddaughter she is disabled needing a heart/lung transplant she ask me the othetr day while i was watching your show if i would take her fishing, At the end of your show i saw something about a dream fishing trip for disabled children and i thought what the heck i'll give it a try and ask you if it might be possible for you to arrange for her to go fishing with you in Alaska if not i will understand, but this is something that she would remember for the rest of her life ever how long it will be. Larry she never complains nor does she feel sorry for herself, she just try's to enjoy each day that God gives her."
